BACKGROUND

DEVELOPMENT AND PROMOTION

PORCELANOSA Grupo, a business group specialising in building materials with more than 40 years experience in the sector, is fully aware of the crucial role architecture and interior design professionals play in guaranteeing a project’s successful completion and is therefore pleased to announce the 11th edition of its awards, intended to meet the following key objectives:

  • To work closely with institutions that have a shared interest in architecture and interior design for their promotion, development and regulation around the world.
  • To continue working to improve the international image of a sector that has capacity for growth and evolution due to its vast potential.
  • To showcase and promote new values in the fields of architecture and interior design.

This will be the 11th edition of the prestigious awards ceremony where the panel of judges are made up of leading professionals such as Daniel Libeskind, Francesc Rifé, Lázaro Rosa-Violán, Mark Fenwick, Rafael de La-Hoz, Clodagh, Fermín Vázquez, Sandra Tarruella, Teresa Sapey, Julio Touza, Fran Silvestre, Carlos Lamela, Íñigo Ortiz, Hembert Peñaranda, Ramón Esteve, Taba Rasti, Pascua Ortega and Benedetta Tagliabue.

OBJECTIVE

PROMOTING THE CREATIVE ACTIVITY

The objective of the XI PORCELANOSA Architecture and Interior Design Awards is to promote the use of products from PORCELANOSA Grupo’s range in architecture and interior design, encouraging the creativity and awareness of new professionals and future talents within the industry.

CATEGORIES

DESIGN OF THE YEAR, PROJECT OF THE YEAR

The competition is divided into two categories, Design of the Year and Project of the Year.

“DESIGN OF THE YEAR”. Two awards will be given to the best design proposed for this year’s competition.

  • One award for professionals: Interior designers and architects.
  • One award for students: Interior design and architecture students at all schools, colleges or universities within the industry.

“PROJECT OF THE YEAR”.One award will be given to the best project completed within the specified dates.

  • One award for professionals: Interior designers and architects or a design practice.

Participation in both categories can be individual or group and each participant is allowed to submit up to three projects, each clearly identified.

An internationally renowned panel of interior designers, designers, and architects made up of the following members:

The panel of judges may be changed by the competition organisers at any time.
